Loved your essay, your authenticity and vulnerability. Thank you for sharing it. Adolescence manages to be terrifying, fascinating, and inspiring all at once doesn’t it? You couldn’t pay me to do it over again!

I kind of loved my adolescence…I think I had the most β€œfun” compared to any other decade, but I recognize I’m also hugely romanticizing it. I was very unstable and unsupported by the adults in my life. I kind of wish I could go back, but with all the supports and resources I have now. But then I would have made very different choices…

Congrats on your essay publication! I liked how you compare how you felt about the movie as a kid vs watching it now. It's a really interesting way of showing change and understanding.

Thank you! It was pretty disappointing trying to watch the movie again, but in hindsight, it’s probably a good thing that my tastes have changed since I was a tween!
